Juwan Morgan Commits to Indiana

The 6-8 power forward from Missouri is the first commitment for Indiana's 2015 recruiting class.

As AJ mentioned on Monday, four-star class of 2015 recruit Juwan Morgan was set to make his college decision tonight. His decision came down to Indiana or Vanderbilt, and Morgan chose the Hoosiers.

Morgan, who ranks 105th on the Rivals.com rankings for 2015, and 63rd on the 247sports rankings, is a 6-8, 220 pound forward from Waynesville, a small town in south-central Missouri. His size and position should allow him to make an immediate impact on a Hoosier team that will have a very guard-oriented lineup this season. This recruiting victory should also come as a relief for IU fans, who have seen quite a few top 2015 recruits come and go from Bloomington this past summer.

Now that the Hoosiers have locked up a commitment from Morgan, they can set their sights on their next target. 6-5 shooting guard Shake Milton looks to be the next piece of this year's recruiting class, and having Morgan, his AAU teammate, come to IU is a great sign for Milton's prospects as well. The Oklahoma native ranks 66th on the Rivals.com list and 78th on the 247sports list. Even just Morgan and Milton, as AJ pointed out, would give us two four-star recruits and a heck of a recruiting class for next year. Providing everyone sticks around, could you see a starting five of something like Ferrell/Blackmon/Milton/Williams/Morgan in Assembly Hall for the start of the 2015-16 season? It's an enticing prospect, that's for sure.
