This week on the Thursday Thinker, I'm going to go fairly big picture, so I expect creative responses from everyone in the comments. The question this week is: If you were made Athletic Director for a day, what one change would you make to improve Indiana Athletics, and why?
I made this question as open-ended as I possibly could. I want you all to have a lot of fun with this. Want to put a roof on Memorial Stadium? You got it! Build a new Assembly Hall? Sure! Move all athletic facilities to the middle of campus and tear down what's currently there? If you really want to, absolutely! Just remember, you only get one thing, and you have to explain why. I would prefer you also address what your changes would do to everything else in Bloomington (i.e. if you relocate all athletics to central campus, where does all of what's there now go to?), but this is a blog, not an essay for the History department, so if you don't want to, I won't force you to.
I'd post what my answer to this question is, but as I'd like to be able to set foot in Bloomington at some point in the future, I shall just say that it would be a way to try and boost football attendance, and it wouldn't require changing the stadium or the coaching staff.
I eagerly await your responses, and hope to not get any hate mail (or messages) for my suggestion. Again, this week's Thursday Thinker is If you were made Athletic Director for a day, what one change would you make to improve Indiana Athletics, and why?
