Derrick Tindal commits to Indiana

Three star defensive back Derrick Tindal becomes the latest class of 2014 prospect to give Indiana their verbal commitment.

Student Sports

Earlier this afternoon the Indiana football team received some good news as class of 2014 cornerback Derrick Tindal announced he has committed to the Hoosiers. The 5-11 160 pound Fort Lauderdale, Florida native officially visited Bloomington in December and was set to check out Syracuse University and South Carolina later this month but decided to end his recruitment before heading on those trips after building a strong bond with the Hoosier coaching staff and seeing all he had to see while on campus last month.

Tindal, a three star prospect, didn't just hold offers from the Hoosiers, Orange and Gamecocks, but also programs such as Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, Akron and Bowling Green to name a few of the other teams that were in on the soon to be Boyd H. Anderson High graduate. 247Sports ranks Derrick as the 110th cornerback in the class of 2014 while Scout.Com currently has him sitting at 115th.

With Derrick now in the fold, the Hoosiers class of 2014 is now sitting at 17 and could soon be adding another prospect later this evening as Indianapolis Pike, four star wide receiver Dominique Booth will announce his college plans between Indiana and the Tigers of Missouri. Espn.Com will carry Booth's announcement live at 7:00 tonight.
