Indiana's 2014 recruiting class has been on fire over the last few days with the commitments of Tommy Mister, Waynedriko Smith and Tegray Scales. The flames are still burning today as another recruit has joined them. Cayce, South Carolina native, Zeke Walker becomes the 22nd prospect to give their word to Kevin Wilson and staff. Like many others, Walker visited Bloomington over the weekend officially and got to connect with the IU coaches, players and get an overall feel for the beautiful campus.
"I have verbally committed to Indiana." Walker told The Crimson Quarry earlier this evening. "It felt at home and I interacted with the coaches and players very well." He stated as the reasons why he picked the Hoosiers over scholarship offers from programs such as Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, and Youngstown State. The 6-2 205 pound, Walker, also had interest from North Carolina State, where he was scheduled to officially visit this weekend before making his commitment.
Even though he will suit up at safety for the Hoosiers, Walker was a key reason why his Brookland-Cayce High school squad finished with a winning record this past season, playing both offense and defense. Zeke, and the Bearcats ended the year 6-5, which was a nice bounce back from the 1-9 record they had in 2012-13.
Walker doesn't just work hard on the football field but also in the classroom as the two star prospect holds a GPA well over 3.0.
