Hoosiers vs. Syracuse: Game Day Thread

Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports

Indiana goes into the Carrier Dome tonight to try and topple the Syracuse Orange in a battle of a top 10 team and a want to be top 25 team. If the Hoosiers can find a way to keep Syracuse off the offensive glass and instead force transition points then they have a pretty good shot at doing it. Keeping the pace high and not allowing Syracuse to settle into their defensive sets with any consistency will be key. Indiana has the athletes to pull this off tonight.

Also necessary is not settling for jump shots when in the half court. We're going to get three point shots that are wide open if not a little rushed. We can't be taking those if we want to stay in it. Attack the lane and dish. Don't worry about overloading the zone, go at it. If Indiana can continue their strong rebounding ways and getting to the basket and the free throw line then I feel pretty good about this being a barn burner. If they let the youth come out and take ill advised shots time after time it could turn into a long night.

Should be a hard fought battle. Hang around here and contribute your thoughts. No matter how the night goes, you'll have at least me to celebrate or rage about the game with. Go Hoosiers!
