Kevin Wilson and the Indiana football staff added another piece to the class of 2014 recruiting puzzle today, as tight end Jordan Fuchs becomes the latest prospect to give Wilson and the Hoosiers their verbal commitment. In doing so, the 6-6 235 pound, three star recruit, joins offensive prospects DeAndre Herron, Alexander Diamont, Wes Martin, Delroy Baker, J-Shun Harris, Coray Keel, Devine Redding and defensive prospects Mike Barwick, Willie Yarbury, Jermane Conyers, Nick Carovillano, Dameon Willis and Airius Moore as recruits who plan to play their college ball in Bloomington.
Fuchs originally committed and signed with UConn coming out New York's Christ The King Regional before ending up at Milford Academy this season. He was still headed to UConn until he de-committed from the Huskies in early November and gave the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers his commitment soon after. A few weeks later, Fuchs would head to Indiana for a official visit and it was all he needed to do to confirm IU was the right place for him over new Big Ten foe Rutgers.
" It's just a better fit all around, in every aspect" Fuchs told The Crimson Quarry this afternoon. "I will play a Ted Bolser role." He also added that he plans on enrolling as a student at Indiana on January 8th.
