I was out of town for last week's opening of the football team's fall camp and the Hoosiers' media day, but unfortunately, the opening of fall practice came with some bad news. Wide receiver Kofi Hughes and cornerback Lawrence Barnett for one game. Neither the game nor the offense has been specified. Regardless, it's fairly disappointing that two upperclassmen have found themselves in this position. The losses are not so dramatic that they seem likely to alter IU's role as heavy favorite against Indiana State, but this team can't really afford to lose anyone for any length of time. Practice makes perfect, etc. And as I discussed a couple of weeks ago, the Sycamores aren't the pushover they were a few years ago. Hopefully this will be a minor setback.
