Hoosiers deck Dayton, capture Soccer classic

My Hoosier pride was a restored a bit after seeing that the Indiana soccer walloped Dayton 6-0 to win the Adidas/IU Credit Union Classic for the first time since 2005(!). I'll grant you that Dayton may not be the toughest opponent that the Hoosiers have faced in the classic in recent years, but it's been a long time since so many goals were generated so easily from the run of the play. Evidently, Tommy Meyer, Harrison Petts, and AJ Corrado provided some nice passing & possession play while sub Blake Wise notched two goals and Eriq Zavaleta, Chris Estridge, Nikita Kotlov, and Jacob Bushue all got on the board as well. It's also been 6 years since the Hoosiers scored this many goals in one game.

This is what a program moving in the right direction should be doing - defending its home field in an impressive fashion.
