Jeremy Hollowell commits to Indiana.

Per Peegs and many others who are in the room, Jeremy Hollowell, a 6-7 small forward from Lawrence Central High School in Indianapolis, has committed to play basketball for Tom Crean at Indiana.  Hollowell recently completed his junior season at LC.  Hollowell joins Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell, Hanner Perea, Ron Patterson, and Peter Jurkin as the fifth member of IU's 2012 recruiting class.  If you believe Scout, then Hollowell joins Ferrell and Perea as the third "five star" recruit of the class, or if you believe Rivals, he is the second four star recruit of the class, joining Patterson.  In any event, it's yet another nice recruiting accomplishment for Tom Crean as he continues to try to rebuild the IU program.

Hollowell's list of finalists included IU, Purdue, Ohio State, and Cincinnati.  It's not entirely clear that Ohio State or Purdue actually had room for Hollowell, although Purdue, at least, appeared to be recruiting him actively throughout the season--he was at Mackey Arena for Purdue's win over Ohio State last month.

Recruiting has come a long way in the last eight months.  Welcome, Jeremy!
