Nearly four years after IU last was ranked, the Hoosiers are back in the top 25 in both the Associated Press (media) and USA Today (coaches') polls. IU is ranked #18 by AP and #20 by USA Today. I don't put a ton of stock in the human polls, personally; I pay much more attention to the reputable computer ratings (where IU is now #13 in Pomeroy and #6 in Sagarin), but it's still an important milestone, and is more than anyone could have hoped only a month into the season. There's something comforting about seeing that little number next to the on-screen scoreboard, and IU has a chance to be seeing that for a while. Congrats, guys, and keep it up.
