Hoosier Headlines for April 26, 2010: Cook Hall dedication, more NFL Draft coverage.

  • Crean: Cook Hall will leave recruits ‘blown away’ (Indiana Daily Student)
    "It is just an amazing thing when you go through that building," IU coach Tom Crean said at a press conference Friday. "It is going to be such a positive for so many people, whether you have been a fan for a long time, whether you are a new fan and certainly for recruits."

  • Glitzy facility a star attraction (The Indianapolis Star)
    "Located just southeast of Assembly Hall, the facility includes Legacy Court, a shrine to IU men's and women's basketball. There are touch-screen interactive displays that feature teams through every decade with photographs and video content. Former coach Bob Knight is featured prominently. There are large red glass panels that include every men's basketball All-American and every women's first team All-Big Ten selection. There are 20 basketballs suspended from the ceiling that honor each men's conference title. There's also an interactive display featuring The Star's men's and women's basketball databases."

  • Cook Hall could jump-start IU hoops (The News-Sentinel - Fort Wayne IN)
    "Players will have 24-hour access to a regulation-size practice court, plus a 2,000-square foot weight room (exclusively for basketball) and a spacious locker room that includes a players lounge and a 55-inch flat-screen TV. Coaches will have meeting rooms, two balconies to view practice action, and a state-of-the-art video system to record practices and games."

  • Polk, Mayberry, Patterson, Wagner sign free agent deals (The Hoosier Scoop)
    "Safety Nick Polk and linebacker Will Patterson have agreed to free agent contracts with the Houston Texans according to Polk. Linebacker Matt Mayberry has signed with the Chicago Bears according to his agent and tight end Troy Wagner has signed a contract with the Cleveland Browns according to his agent."  No official word yet on Greg Middleton.
