Indiana releases 2010-2011-2012 football schedules.

Here they are, beginning with 2010:

2010
Sept. 2 - TOWSON
Sept. 18 - at Western Kentucky
Sept. 25 - AKRON
Oct. 2 - MICHIGAN
Oct. 9 - at Ohio State
Oct. 16 - ARKANSAS STATE (HOMECOMING)
Oct. 23 - at Illinois
Oct. 30 - NORTHWESTERN
Nov. 6 - IOWA
Nov. 13 - at Wisconsin
Nov. 20 - vs. Penn State (FedExField)
Nov. 27 - at Purdue

The 2010 non-conference schedule is really, really weak.  Towson is Division I-AA.  Western Kentucky is a recent addition to I-A.  Arkansas State is a Sun Belt Conference team that hasn't finished over .500 in its 18 seasons in Division I-A, although the Red Wolves did qualify for the 2005 New Orleans Bowl, which they lost.  Akron imploded last year and has a new coach this season.  The non-conference schedule contains no defensible losses.  Of course, the lay-down nature of the non-con schedule is somewhat offset by the horrid decision to sell the home Penn State game, but this schedule is tailor-made for a bowl bid.

2011
Sept. 3 - at Ball State
Sept. 10 - VIRGINIA
Sept. 24 - DELAWARE STATE
Oct. 1 - at Northwestern
Oct. 8 - MINNESOTA
Oct. 15 - at Michigan
Oct. 22 - ILLINOIS
Oct. 29 - OHIO STATE
Nov. 5 - at Iowa
Nov. 12 - at Michigan State
Nov. 19 - TBA
Nov. 26 - PURDUE

The nonconference schedule includes a MAC road game and an ACC game, so it's a bit tougher than the 2010 edition.  One non-conference date remains open.  In the two-year Big Ten scheduling cycle, IU will drop Wisconsin and Penn State and add Minnesota and Michigan State.

2012
Sept. 1 - INDIANA STATE
Sept. 8 - TBA
Sept. 15 - BALL STATE
Sept. 29 - NORTHWESTERN
Oct. 6 - at Minnesota
Oct. 13 - MICHIGAN
Oct. 20 - at Illinois
Oct. 27 - at Ohio State
Nov. 3 - IOWA
Nov. 10 - MICHIGAN STATE
Nov. 17 - Navy (site TBA)
Nov. 24 - at Purdue

Again, one non-conference date remains open.  According to the IU news release, the Navy series will be a home-and-home series, but the sequence has not been determined.  Navy's "home" game against Notre Dame, which falls in even numbered years, typically is played at a neutral site in a large city.  That's not what this is.  The 2012 game will be in Bloomington or Annapolis.
