  • Kent Sterling (1070 The Fan)
1070 program manager Kent Sterling's Larry King-style blog is here, and he suggests that no matter what, IU should keep Bill Lynch around for another four years. And I think he's serious. "We've seen what the revolving door approach does. Lets see what some stability gives Indiana." I hear this quite a bit, and it's far from ideal that IU has had three coaching changes this century. Still, the continuity thing cuts both ways. If IU had followed that approach with Gerry Dinardo, IU never would have hired Hoeppner. While we will never know for sure, that "hasty" decision to fire Dinardo seemed to be working out until Hoeppner got sick.

  • IU signs guard from east (The News-Sentinel)
More coverage of Victor Oladipo. DiPrimio notes that Xavier, Notre Dame, and Marquette also had offered the 6-4 guard. He says that Olidipo is ranked #48 by Scout. I saw that ranking but thought it was a position ranking, not an overall ranking.

  • Oladipo says God led him to IU (Indiana Daily Student)
The IDS has some quotes from Oladipo.

  • A quick look at Week 2 in the Big Ten (ESPN)
Rittenberg provides a breakdown of this week's matchups, which are better than last week's.

  • Full Depth Chart (The Hoosier Scoop)
This one looks nearly identical to last week's, which is better than the alternative.

  • A first look: Western Michigan (The Journal Gazette)
Lamond Pope looks at Western Michigan.

  • Meet IU's next opponent (The Indianapolis Star)
An initial look at Western Michigan. I'll have more on the Broncos soon.
