The Hoosiers let up at the end, but their "second round" NCAA Tournament game never was in doubt.

Indiana's first game as a #1 seed in 20 years was a success. The final score doesn't reflect that IU jumped out to a big lead and led by as many as 33 in the second half before a late three point flurry by JMU contracted the margin a bit. Yogi Ferrell scored 14 points in the first half and created an insurmountable lead.

The game time hasn't been released yet, but the Hoosiers will play 9 seed Temple on Sunday afternoon in Dayton. The Owls built a big lead over #8 NC State and held on to advance. The lone NCAA meeting between IU and Temple was 19 years ago, when IU beat the Owls to advance to the Sweet 16. That game is perhaps best-remembered for a gruesome leg fracture suffered by Sherron Wilkerson.

But more about Temple later. IU is moving on to the round of 32. Feel free to use this post as an open thread for the evening NCAA Tournament action.
