I admit that I am slightly superstitious about discussing this. So not to jinx us, but .... With a one game lead on MSU and 2 games over Michigan and Wisconsin,Indiana is in great shape to clinch an outright title or at the worst a share of the title. While any of these teams is capable of running the table, it seems unlikely than any will. There is a joke about two friends being chased by a bear in the woods. The one friend says "do you really think you can outrun the bear?" The other friend replies, "I don't need to. I just have to outrun you." So IU can loose a game and get the outright title as long as MSU looses 1 more as well. If IU looses 1 and MSU wins out they share the title. If IU looses more than 1 they need their B1G competitors to loose as many as them (or at least only one game fewrer than them). I only addressed scenarios with MSU as I don't expect Michigan or Wisconsin to run the table AND IU loose 2 games. Personally I will be satisfied with: 1) an outright regular season B1G title, 2) a B1G Tournament Championship and 3) an NCAA Champiosnhip. This team had huge expectations on it all year and so far has handled them great - so - why not reach for all the stars.
