IU cutting down on Turnovers

Stay connected for news and updates

Through the first 10 Big Ten games (the Illionois game) IU averaged 13.6 TO's per game. In 8 of 10 games they had more than 10, in half the games IU had more TO's than their opponent and in those 5 games we went 3 - 2. In the 3 wins we managed when loosing the TO battle we dominated the boards to offset the TO's. In the last 4 games IU has averaged 10.1 TO's per game. We had more than 10 1 time, we never had more than our opponent and we are 4 - 0. While this is a small sample size to demonstrate improvement - it appears to me that we are taking better care of the basketball. IU already had distinct advantages by shooting higher % (on 2's, on 3's and FT), out rebounding opponents, getting more FT attempts, and generally playing better D. If we have solved the one apparent weakness - the TO battle - BANNER !!
