Indiana 97, Purdue 60: Hoosiers make history at Mackey.

Michael Hickey

Indiana humiliated the Boilermakers like they never have before.

Amid suggestions that they might be prone to look past Purdue to the weekend meeting with Michigan, the Hoosiers took it to Purdue like no IU team has..well, ever, at least in West Lafayette. Before tonight, IU's most lopsided win in Mackey was a 78-59 win in 1984, and most lopsided win at any venue in West Lafayette was an 86-50 win in 1954. According to Michael Pointer of the Indianapolis Star on Twitter, Purdue's worst loss at Mackey before tonight was by 21 to Illinois in 2001. IU shattered all of those records tonight with a 37-point curb-stomping of the Boilermakers. I have nothing of substance to add. That was an inspired performance by the Hoosiers. More tomorrow.
