This week in Big Ten action

Some interesting games this week that will tell us something about how the conference is going to shake out

Michigan State at Wisconsin. This is the best of the weekday games. I am not totally sold on either of these teams. In terms of our conference championship aspirations, I will cheer for Sparty, which seems odd since they are a half-game ahead of us, in first place. But since we have two cracks at them yet, and because I am at the point of loathing Bucky, I'll say go Sparty. Haven't seen the line, but figure its probably Wisconsin by about 2. While I'll cheer for Sparty, I think Sconny probably wins this by 6, with a combined total of under 110.

Illinois at Nebrasketball. Illinois: you are what we though you were, and no one is crowning your asses. I think Bruce Weber watches this one with a tall, cool drink and a smile on his face.

Iowa at tOSU. Ohio State, and it's probably not close. That's a tough venue for a young team. I want to believe in Iowa, but not yet. And I am not totally convinced by Ohio State either. But I think that they win this one convincingly.

Penn State at IU. Covered elsewhere. Goals: stay healthy, and get lots of reps for (in this order) Elston, Creek, Abell and Sheehey.

Minny at Northwestern. This should be Minny by a landslide. I am not a betting man, so this is easy for me to say: I would not, under any circumstances, lay money on this game. I am curious what 87 thinks, because he is apparently a betting man. Northwestern seems to be rounding into form a bit, though. Maybe. And they could also lose by 30.
