Navy 31, Indiana 30.

Brian Spurlock-US PRESSWIRE

IU blew a golden opportunity for a nice win.

I really have nothing constructive to say about this game. For most of the afternoon, the Hoosiers did whatever they wanted to do offensively, but a few well-timed mistakes allowed IU to lose a game that it twice led by two possessions. This was a very ugly conclusion to what was a fairly enjoyable game. More tomorrow.

As I said during the week, it remains to be seen whether these are growing pains of a young team or whether the total inability to ever win a close win is an indictment of this coaching staff.
