So, there's not a lot of news out there this weekend for Hoosier fans, and unless you're huge into soccer, you're probably feeling a little dispirited after the North Texas' win.

It was a defensive slugfest, but Alec Purdie's header in the 78th minute broke through and gave IU a big jump on what looks to be their primary in-conference competition.

A bit of unbridled enthusiasm from the IDS's Matt Smith about the Men's Soccer team. To be fair, the Hoosiers do look to be the clear favorites for the Big Ten after picking up their first win over a ranked team. I'm just not confident about the conference's national standing this year.
