So What Did Everyone Think?
I thought everyone showed up tonight to the Indiana game and played well. The defense still needs some work, but they will get better. I would have liked to have seen Doss play tonight, but hopefully he will be back for the Western Kentucky game. I see Indian have a good non conference record this year, winning them all. As for the conference games it could go a few ways! I see Indiana finishing 8-4 or 7-5.
Tell me what you guys thought about the game.
Go Hoosiers!

Not bad for an opener. I’ve said it so often that it’s a cliche, but games like this usually produce only bad news. That said, I was happy with the offense for the most part. A couple of red zone possessions gave me heartburn, but our yield was pretty good down there. The defense is an issue, but mobile quarterbacks are tough to defend. We’ve been on the other side of it, watching guys like ARE and Kellen Lewis make solid defenses. We’ve known all along that the defense was going to be the inferior unit, but we have a good enough offense that we can win a lot of games if the D can find a way to be merely decent. If nothing else, perhaps the staff will reevaluate how we defend mobile QBs in time for Forcier/Robinson, Marve, Pryor, Bolden, etc.
As I said yesterday, four of IU’s seven games against I-AA opponents have been one-possession games. I’m happy that we jumped out to a big lead and won comfortably.
