Indiana's Big Ten opener, the October 2 game against Michigan in Bloomington, will begin at 3:30 and will be televised on ESPNU. This doesn't provide the exposure of ESPN or ESPN2, but ESPNU's availability seems to me expanding. Fortunately for DirecTV subscribers, ESPNU is now available in HD (unlike last season, when IU's game at Akron was on the U). The start time seems like a positive for IU's notoriously late-arriving crowd.
