PrintThe St. Louis Rams made Rodger Saffold, who started at left tackle for IU in 2009, the first pick of night two of the draft. Saffold distinguished himself with his play in the postseason all-star games and at the NFL Combine. Saffold will be charged with protecting the #1 overall pick in the draft, Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford. Congratulations, Roger. Coach Hep would be proud to see one of the "seven blocks of limestone" playing on Sundays.
