Indiana Hoosiers at Northwestern Wildcats, Mar 11, 2010 4:55 PM EST

Go Hoosiers!  I'm opening this one early in case anyone wants to discuss the scintillating Iowa-Michigan matchup that precedes the IU game.

6-0 IU start

On a pair of threes. Can’t ask for much more.

Strong start on O, but how about a rebound?

Five minute FG drive, still up 5. Could be worse.

PRetty decent first half, but those last 15 seconds were horrid.

IU shot 44 percent, NU 40 percent. IU was 4-8 from 3 point range, NU was 2-18. Both teams had five turnovers. NU has 8 offensive boards compared to 11 defensive boards for IU. IU has only 4 offensive boards to 15 DR for NU. Northwestern is not a good rebounding team, but IU always manages to make them look like Michigan State.

Balanced scoring attack for IU: 9 for VJ3, 8 for Elston, 7 for Watford, 5 for Hulls. Only 1 bench point, a Capo free throw. John Shurna has 10 for NU.

IU needs to find a way to get some boards. NU isn’t going to shoot 12 percent from three point range again. Still, we’re up 3 at halftime.

Or, we can keep giving them a bunch of boards and they can keep missing threes.

What a horrid call on Pritchard.

Like the effort

Team’s getting a little sloppy, but still in the lead, which is important.

Yeah, I’ll keep watching, but we have no solution for the zone. Oh well.

A long way to go.

Yup

Think we can look at .500 as a reasonable goal for next year? Maybe lower the bar some more…
