D aims to boost IU football (The News-Sentinel): Another excellent interview with AD Fred Glass: "I'm focused on football because it drives everything. The reason Indiana is last in the Big Ten in terms of how much we spend per sport is because we don't fill Memorial Stadium. Getting that right is not only important for football, but for the entire department. I'm not dumb enough to not understand that the best thing for attendance is winning. I'm also not going to accept we can't do anything to drive attendance."

Boyle Confirms Indy (sic), Duke Lead for Irving (Zagsblog): Adam Zagoria catches up with Kryrie Irving's head coach and confirms the emerging consensus that IU and Duke and the teams to beat for Irving's services. Big Ten's new bowl lineup has more pros than cons (ESPN): Rittenberg reports that the lineup will be Rose-Capital One-Outback-Gator-Insight-TBD-Motor City. I was hoping, but not with much optimism, that the Motor City Bowl would be kicked to the curb, but it appears that tie in will stay. Speculation centers on the Texas Bowl in Houston as the 6th place tie-in.
