Around SBN: Off Tackle Empire interviews Rich Rodriguez

Louisville 8, IU 2.

Here's the box score.  Maybe it was my internet connection, but I didn't have much luck with the streaming video, so my impressions mainly are based on the stats.  After taking a 2-0 lead in the second, IU committed two early errors in the bottom of the second and fell behind 3-2.  In the bottom of the fifth, a two out error allowed two more Louisville runs.  Eric Arnett, who was named a second-team all-American earlier in the day, walked four and clearly wasn't as sharp as he was during the Big Ten Tournament, but the defense did not do him any favors today.

On the offensive side, IU struck early against Big East pitcher of the year Justin Marks, but never got on the board after the second inning.

It is a double elimination tournament, and so the Hoosiers play Vanderbilt tomorrow afternoon in a game that will end the loser's season.
